Whew, well done, traveler! Lesson 2 (Develop Plan) was a lot of hard work, but I’m sure you’ll agree that you have a much clearer picture of your child’s academic needs and how to achieve your classical homeschooling vision in the short-term. Now that you’ve written a strategic semester plan, you’ll need to go back periodically and see how you are doing. If you are like me, you probably overestimated all that could be accomplished, so don’t fret when you go back to compare real-life to the plan if some goals were not met. You’ve got plenty of time to give your kids all that they need to succeed. Relax, and enjoy the journey!
As you work through the tasks of Lesson 3, you will: (1) update mastery of three skills, (2) determine which ones still need more work , and (3) plan your celebration.
Like Lessons 1 and 2, all three tasks of Lesson 3 are formatted in the form of a broad question and include several hands-on activities that will help you absorb, connect, and do something with the new understanding that you are acquiring.
